Since 2008, Chris has been Senior Pastor of FBC Beaumont, a historic church founded in 1872. During his tenure there, he has been guiding the church through a major shift in focus from a traditional SBC model of ministry to a "Making-Disciple-Makers" model of ministry. Numerous onlookers throughout this shift have said, "If First Beaumont can do it, any church can do it."
Chris is married to Wendi Lea (1996) and has three daughters--Whitney, Trinity, and Audrey. In his free time, Chris shows horses with his girls in the Louisiana Stock Horse Show Association.

|More about ABREA...|
|Membership is open to professional staff members who have specific responsibility for adult discipleship ministries in churches affiliated with the SBC and the Alabama Baptist Convention. Our purpose is to provide networking, fellowship, and professional development opportunities to our members. We typically meet annually on the final Thursday and Friday of January.|
Members include both full and part time staff members, as well as specific ministries for any of the following: men, women, senior adults, young adults, etc. Senior Pastors and Age-Group Staff (Student, Children's and Preschool) are welcome to attend our meetings but we do not target those ministries in our programming. We recognize that there are other organizations similar to ours, but focused on the needs of those church staff positions. Our desire is to help ministers find the best organization for specific professional development and networking. At the same time, many of our members have supervisory responsibility over age-group ministries.
